Emma started her 13 year long racing career on 2 wheels when a friend introduced her to motocross at the tender age of 12. Although she never raced the bike she could be found on a weekly basis at the practice track in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
She then went on to race karts in the UK and Europe before eventually breaking into the BARC Formula Renault Championship at 17 years old. Her aim at that point was to work her way up to Formula One to become the only modern day female to reach F1. She was credited with being the "Most Successful Female Driver in the UK" in 2006!
In 2011 Emma was invited to make a guest appearance in the Lotus Elise Trophy and the 1 hour long Lotus Cup UK at Silverstone. With 3rd place in race 1 and a win in race 2 in the Elise Trophy races, followed by a class win in the Lotus Cup Race, Emma became the first female to finish on the podium in the Lotus Elise Trophy, the first female to win a race in the same championship and the first female to win her class in the Lotus Cup!
Emma entered one further car race in 2013 before making the decision to move to 2 wheels in the BMCRC Rookie 600 Championship in 2014.
Emma is currently looking for sponsors to allow her to complete the last 4 rounds of the 2014 season. If interested please contact her at [email protected]
