Robert has been training for most of his life but it has only been in the last 2 years he has really started to take his training to the next level. During this time he has also become a Personal Trainer and is sharing his passion and helping other people achieve their goals through his PT company - Project R Fitness! He currently trains clients in Bodyworx Fitness, Warehouse Health Club and Forge Gym.
Although he is training as a bodybuilder Robert has competed in Highlands Strongest Man the last 2 years in a row. Coming 6th in 2012 and 3rd in 2013! His first bodybuilding competition will be in 2014 the NABBA Scottish on April 21st. His diet and training have to be regimented:
“I am currently taking in 5500 calories per day - 40%protein 40% carbs 20% fats. At this stage in the game I'm not going to be able to pack on much more size so it's all about getting into shredded nasty condition for me. Training wise I'm doing one big move per session and taking that to failure and beyond in every rep range from 2 up to 20 reps breaking down as much tissue as possible.” Robert Rose
After competing in the NABBA Scottish he will go on to do the UKBFF Show two weeks later in Paisley. He is then going to bulk back for Highlands Strongest Man 2014. This will be a very busy year and will require a huge amount of determination and we wish him all the best for his 2014 season.
